Manchester City shatters Arsenal with 5-0 in Premier League.

Manchester City came out with a stunning display in the Premier League and shatters Arsenal with a huge gap of 5-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. This was the third consecutive loss for the Gunners and this match gets them at the bottom of the premier league table.

The goal fire starts from Manchester city when Ilkay Gundogan scored the first goal within the first ten minutes of the match. He succeeded to complete the goal with the cross from his teammate Gabriel Jesus. Ilkay Gundogan puts the pass with a headshot and is missed by the goalkeeper of Arsenal.

The Arsenal continued to fall throughout the whole match, the defender of Arsenal Cédric Soares failed to clear the ball in the 12th minute of the match and gave the chance to the opponent Ferrán Torres to score the second goal for Manchester City. These were the earliest two goals by the Gunners in a match since 2017.

Things were continuously going bad to worst for Arsenal as the referee showed red card for the Arsenal player for the clumsy challenge on João Cancelo. And after some time Gabriel Jesus scored the third goal for Manchester City. This was the third consecutive loss for Arsenal and the second consecutive success for Manchester City.

This is the worst start for the Arsenal in the history of Premier League as they lost their opener match to the newly promoted Brentford by 2-0. But they still have three league matches to come back with a strong position. The manager of Arsenal talks to the Arsenal media after the match and said that:

“I have to say thank you to the 3,000 fans that came here today because on a difficult day like this to give the support that they have. Coming here and starting and competing well and then going down to 10 men is mentally really demanding, so we have to manage the game as best as we could.”

He further added after losing Saturdays’ match against Manchester City:

It’s going to be difficult, but as I said we are a team and we have to stick together in this moment. And as the senior players, we have to show the way as well to the young players. I know it’s not going to be easy, but we will try to give our best.

We are hoping for good results for Arsenal in this season of the Premier League. They still have three chances to change their dreams into reality.
